The BlackTop Bar and Grill

Established by Mike and Bonnie “Billie” Billington Packer in 2022, The BlackTop Bar and Grill is meant to be the perfect place to eat, drink, and socialize. As a family-owned and operated bar, we want to offer our customers a warm and welcoming space where they can host events, visit with friends, or even grab a drink by themselves. At The BlackTop, you’re not just a customer, you’re part of the family.
Our menu offers a variety of delicious meals, from appetizers to burgers, and our bartenders are ready to serve you a cold beer or a variety of fun cocktails. We focus on bringing our patrons the experience of a no-fuss neighborhood bar and grill paired with great entertainment and friendly service. As longtime residents of SE, Minnesota, we want to recreate the energy and hospitality that Minnesota has to offer.
Renovating the space formerly run as the Tailgator’s in Elgin, the BlackTop brings back everything you loved about your local bar, grill, and event center with a few fun and exciting additions. We host several events throughout the year, including crowd favorites like Bingo night, Fish Fry Fridays, fundraising events, and more—so there’s always something to look forward to. Apart from that, we also offer you a great space to host parties, dinners, and more. We want our bar to be your go-to for a night out with friends, fun family gatherings, or a place to unwind after a long day at work.
